Manny Pacquiao The Actor
We all know that Manny Pacquiao is a world-class boxing champion but acting?… it is a different story. Just watch the clip from the movie “Anak ni Kumander” Pacquiao’s movie entry for Manila Film Festival 2007… ummm i guess you don’t need to go to the movie to watch the full length version not because of the storyline but because the acting is sooo bad!!. Pag nanalo ng award si Manny dito talagang nagka-dayaan!

Karen Po!
This local McDo ad is about a teenage girl named Karen and her memory-challenged lolo, who had Alzheimer’s. While having their burger meal at McDonald’s, the grandfather kept calling Karen, “Gina.”
No matter that she kept reminding him, “Karen po.” Karen bore her growing dismay in silence. And then, lolo sliced his burger in half and, while wrapping it, he said, “Ito, para sa paborito kong apo. Si Karen.” Beloved Karen smiled happily.
Karen Delos Reyes, or Glomirose Delos Reyes in real life, played the teenage girl in this commercial, which became her stepping-stone to teen stardom.

Multiply Lands Ad Deal with ABS-CBN

TechCrunch, the tech blog giant reported that ABS-CBN Interactive managed to ink a deal with social network Multiply. Maybe ABS-CBN is starting to take noticed the online behavior of Pinoys specially the OFWs that’s why they’re jumping into social networking. Im thinking now maybe GMA-7 will follow this time with Facebook?
The Philippines is one of the most pronounced examples of their large international following. Alexa ranks Multiply as the 5th largest site in the Philippines - with more than 2 million unique monthly visitors. We had earlier reported that 39% of the site’s traffic comes from the Philippines. Therefore it’s no surprise that they’ve managed to land a multi-year ad deal with one of the Philippine’s largest networks, ABS-CBN. ABS-CBN has 67 televisions stations, 19 radio stations, 30 websites and reaches 97% of the Filipinos with televisions. Under terms of the agreement, ABS-CBN interactive will sell advertising and mobile services for Multiply’s Filipino users, with the two companies sharing revenues.
